Exercise 9 - Balance - Balance in design

The drawing is balanced because the objects are nearly equal due to size, colors and placement. The bird and the dog are near to the tree while the girl on the swing is a bit further. The high value and the warm, bright colors of the bird attract our eyes to the left side, but the bigger size of the girl  and the red scarf lead our eyes again to the right side. This is called asymmetrical balance.
